ACCOMPANIED TRIPS TO IRELAND

Since 1994 I have been organising pike fishing trips to Ireland. Initially we fished Loughs Mask and Corrib, and then we moved to Lough Allen and then the River Bann system. These days I still do a few trips each year based at Portumna on the Shannon. We are based at the family house with the option of further accommodation at the bottom of our road. Most of the fishing is on the River Shannon which is good pike fishing. It can be slow generally, but there are some big fish to be caught. On our last trip in October the accompanied anglers caught fish of 24-04, 23 and 19 along with some lesser fish. During the previous trip Duncan Pritchard had 18 doubles.

Fishing is either from my 17ft Wilson Flyer, your own boat if you have one or a hired Lough Boat. Rates are as follows;

One week Saturday to Saturday, fishing in my boat, all ferry tickets and bait £500. Extras shared fuel costs for truck and boat. Usual maximum £100

Bring your own boat up to 18 feet, two anglers ferry tickets and bait £380 each.

Hire boat fuel provided price as above.

There is one trip planned for early February. A £100 non returnable deposit is required in advance.
